MICHAEL ANGELO BATIO, HONORED AT G MARTEL MUSIC UNIVERSITY IN MEXICO CITY!

M.A.C.E. Music announces another honorary award for guitar virtuoso Michael Angelo Batio! On Sept 27th, 2003, G. Martell University in Mexico City honored Michael Angelo Batio by inviting him to the university to cast his hands in cement for their walk of fame, much like the Mann Theatre in Hollywood. Others on this walk of fame include Julio Eglasias and Jim Marshall, founder and still owner of Marshall Amps.
The university also produced a silver plaque naming their music classroom "The Michael Angelo Batio" classroom! Michael performed Dean Guitar clinics in Mexico the week prior to the Honor Ceremony.
Earlier this year, "Guitar One" magazine named Michael Angelo Batio the "#1 Shredder of All Time" in their April edition! Others on list after Michael, included guitar greats such as John Petrucci, Paul Gilbert, Buckethead, Shawn Lane and Yngwie Malmsteem.
2003 has been a busy and successful year for Michael Angelo Batio. Playing over 100 combined concerts and clinics, across the world, Michael has managed to still find the time to create a new instructional DVD in conjunction with Doug Marks and Metal Method Productions that will be for sale in December on M.A.C.E. Music, Metal Method and Dean Guitars websites.
Michael Angelo Batio is known by many for his previous work with his bands, Holland and Nitro. He is known to be one of the most accurate electric guitarists in the world and is the original inventor of the double guitar designed by Dean Zelinsky, founder of Dean Guitars. Michael's previous instructional DVD "Speed Kills" has sold over 12,000 copies and is still in high demand worldwide. He recently performed with former Nitro drummer "KC" in at the Orleans Theater in Las Vegas to a sold out show of 10,000 fans! "Pink" was the emcee for progressive trance music event.
