Startup Website Targets Guitarists and Band Members

There are a lot of guitar sites on the net these days so what makes this new startup different? We asked startup owner Richard DeBruyne. “Well basically it is our goal to provide some unique features and services to guitarists and other musicians. We wanted to deliver something that will have the usual features of community and information plus some areas that are not so common. Things like ‘Band Profiles’ where groups can show themselves off in a centralized location. Not all artists are inclined to build and pay for their own websites and often those sites get lost in the shuffle.

We are attempting to provide a home base for talent scouts, agents, bands, and especially guitarists.” The site, axecity.com is brand new. The look and feel is comfortable and although there isn’t a lot of content at this early stage it is designed to allow the members to post what is important. Features include discussion forums on every topic related to guitars and guitarists, photo galleries for posting just about anything relevant, equipment reviews, Musician job boards, classified ads, and the list goes on and on. Registration is required to become a member but anyone can browse the site. Membership is also free.

The site can be accessed at http://www.axecity.com
